Although you don't define your vision as cosmic consciousness or samadhi- your effable, unique apperceptions seem to superimpose over a perennial (and ineffable) state of non-dual consciousness. Any such experience necessarily begins and ends in what is normal or phenomenal consciousness or what I think you might refer to as the base of "conditional worlds". When such states arise spontaneously as ecstatic samadhi or in "satori" there is a "quantum leap" out of normal consciousness so there is a clear impression of the moment of realization. Or (I can only repeat from hearsay) it may come as a "gradual attainment" through study of the scriptures or the practice of dhyana. I can only imagine that in jnana yoga or the practice of Ramana's "Self Inquiry" that one can slide gradually into an introvertive transition from a dual to a nondual state. Rarely- some accounts of non dual episodes describe an aftermath of lingering altered state that gradually blends back into normalcy over a period of hours or days. The historic literature refers to yogis who in dhyana go in and out of non-dual consciousness at will and to jivanmukti who have experienced "sahaja" and live permanently in such a state yet who function normally in the world. As you know Ramana is said to have experienced a unique spontaneous "trance" or altered state at the age of 15 that lasted over a period of months. Of course all this phenomenology begs evidence and one of the most useful criteria for comprehension of these events is to have as clear a description as memory allows from contemporary experiencers as to- how it all began. Are there any specifics you can share in regards to what circumstances may have led up to or triggered this particular cosmic vision- with its unique effable/perennial qualities? maya-gaiamaya-gaiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05635338282525024784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20670916.post-89306353483915763142009-11-12T21:45:20.150-08:002009-11-12T21:45:20.150-08:00Yes. Good stuff. Wonderful question. Why is there ...Yes. Good stuff. Wonderful question. Why is there (apparently) something rather than absolute nothing? It’s unimaginable. It’s literally impossible. (It never happened.) And yet you experienced and described the bliss/fear hum, the vibration of that “appearance” manifesting. (You’ve also described there what the Sri Yantra illustrates.)

Or, from another angle, barely awake, eyes still closed, unmoving, not yet knowing where or who you are. It’s like black merging with black. Luminously surrendered.dogdreamnoreply@blogger.com
